Some days are full of ups and downs, and this was one of them! The views remained great and the weather kind. The main memory of the day’s walk was going up and down about 300 ft every mile! As it was just an 8 mile day, albeit with over 2000 ft elevation change, we arrived in Charlestown at the perfect time to share a fish and chips for a late lunch.

For today, we spotted a lone hiker fighting his way up the hill on the opposite side of the valley. We were going that way!

The day was a roller coaster!

We saw the path’s steep climb on the other side of this valley!

While not native to England, it was thriving!
