TN Day 9 – Horses and a Sunset

Today was about riding horses at the Natchez Trace Trailrides, about an hour Southwest of our house, back toward Franklin. But first we grabbed a quick breakfast on the way at a fine little eatery called Frothy Monkey.

Having arrived at the horse farm early, we got plenty of time to hang around with other farm animals.

Baby!

It was great to get our horses and ride the trails around the farm.

Jett’s horse Paco was not well behaved at first, but Jett got him under control.
Kylie rode Mule.
Bailey rode Raven.
Samuel rode Beauty and Janet rode the appropriately named Sweet Pea.
Riding through this creek was fun.

After the group picture, we took “selfies” with our horses.

My horse was called Star and was a very good boy. Even for me!

It was a great ride and we all enjoyed it, finishing just before the rain that we drove through to get home.

Kylie and Samuel had dinner duty and made fine shrimp tacos in between playing cards.

Hand and Foot
I remembered to take a photo after my first couple of bites.

The rain moved on and skies cleared, so it looked like it would be a great evening for some drone photos.

A warm up photo with our house in the middle front with downtown Nashville in the background.
Sunset over Nashville from our house which is the one front middle with two cars in the driveway. It’s a shame you need to fly 200 ft above the ground to get this shot. The birds see it every night!

Just one more day left in Tennessee. I sense we will be back.

This page is part of our Tennessee set of posts.
