Janet and I spent five days on the northern half to Painswick in August 2023, using a hotel in Cheltenham as a basecamp, shuttling back and forth each day to the trail via various means of transport. In June 2025, we returned with our dear friends the Sems and Townsends, and walked the remainder from Painswick to Bath, staying at B&Bs on the way and using carry-a-bag for our luggage.
